![]() For the uninitiated, Portal is a 3D puzzle game that's set up like a first-person shooter. There are also six extra Advance Maps included, for the hardest of the hardcore, and there are 12 new achievements to make it all worth your while. They're more difficult than most of the early Portal levels and will surely test your brainpower in parts, especially if it's been a while since you last picked up the portal gun. Those levels were eventually turned into true 3D Portal levels and snapped up by Valve for inclusion in Portal: Still Alive. The 14 new "Still Alive" Challenge Maps were originally conceived as a set of standalone Flash-based Portal puzzles by the folks over at We Create Stuff. That means no voices from the past return, and no lingering questions are answered.Ĭlick here to watch the first level. The 14 additional levels included in the download are solid new puzzles, but they don't expand on the Portal storyline. If you're an Orange Box owner and previous Portal fan, Portal: Still Alive definitely expands upon the original Portal experience, but not in the way you were probably hoping. But it's also among the very best games you can download to your Xbox 360. At 1,200 MSP ($15) it's one of the more expensive games on XBLA, and at about 650 MB in size, it's certainly the largest. Portal: Still Alive is the definitive version of the game, and it's worth every penny and megabyte of storage space Valve is asking for it. ![]() ![]() For those who are new to Portal, I've got nothing but good news for you. ![]()
